Aziz is then able to contact the one person he does know in America Rafik who lives with an American woman and several Algerians – all stuffed into a small apartment. Aziz’s brother gets a green card to emigrate into America and is able to work and get money to help keep them and Aziz manages to get casual work, but Rafik is engaged in something illegal. Aziz and his friend Ghazi go and look in Rafik’s lockup and conclude he is stealing stuff and using the lockup to keep the stuff in. But is he – or is something more serious going on. A tragic-comedy ensues as the story unfolds.
