Lt Jon Stride is trying to find a missing girl – this is the second time in a year that a young girl has gone missing and the press is baying for his blood. Only a little investigation in the household and at school tells Stride that this is a strange dominant wild child and that the story isn’t going to be a straightforward as everybody believes.
